Winona conducted an extensive survey involving over 1000 women to understand how menopause and perimenopause symptoms impact their work lives. The results are eye-opening and highlight the critical need for awareness and accommodations in corporate culture.
Menopause in the Workplace:
Insights from Winona's Corporate Wellness Survey
Literally anything to acknowledge that perimenopause and menopause are legitimate health issues and not punchlines to bad jokes. Many women my age and older feel invisible and disregarded in the workplace.

Key Findings
Lack of Awareness
The survey revealed a severe lack of menopause awareness in corporate settings, which negatively impacts career choices and fosters a stigma around discussing menopause and women’s health.
Impact on Work Performance
71% of respondents admitted to downplaying the severity of their symptoms, especially during high-pressure projects. This concealment affects productivity and overall well-being.
Need for Accommodations
The top accommodations suggested include flexible hours, temperature control, and management understanding. A quiet/cool room similar to a lactation room was also a popular idea.
