Rosacea

Rosacea is a condition characterized by redness of the skin, which looks flushed or sunburned. Women are more likely to develop rosacea than men, especially during menopause. The signs and symptoms of rosacea tend to erupt from intermittently, appearing for weeks to months and then diminishing for a while. Over time, the symptoms may persist indefinitely.

The hot flashes and anxiety that come with menopause may trigger rosacea flare-ups. Stress and anxiety are also contributing factors.
